I’m a New York girl who 16 years ago bought a ranch property in Montana with the intention of building a vacation home and ultimately making it a bed and breakfast. Then 7 years ago, after 19 years together, my partner, Matt and I decided it was time to get married. And where else would we do it but on our beautiful ranch with our guests flying in from both coasts? Our wedding photographer made an offhand comment that there was nothing as beautiful as our ranch for weddings in Montana and “why don’t we have weddings here”? Why not? There’s nothing that scares a New Yorker! I’d always planned and organized parties, so the transition was an easy one for me. We figured if we did 2 or 3 weddings a season it would be fun! Who knew we would be booked every weekend of our season and the winner of The Knot’s Best of Weddings and Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice award winners for 6 years in a row? We’ve added a custom timber frame barn to replace our original tent weddings and built the most beautiful glamping tent and cabins for our amazing brides and grooms and their families.
